It’s your choice.

It’s the favorite time of year for gym owners, life coaches, and fitness specialists. In the USA, Monday will be a very busy health day. January 1st fell on a Friday and only the most dedicated decided to start their new diets/exercise regimens on a weekend. I think we’re all feeling hopeful, yet slightly let down, overfull, and trepidatious about what 2021 will bring. We are, at least in theory, eager to jump back onto our motivational horse and ride toward the path of wellness. What are some of the goals you’d like to accomplish?

I’m right there with most of the masses, inspired by the new year, optimistic and driven by the possibilities it holds. Determined to start off on the right foot and recommit to strength and endurance goals, despite this pain in the ass injury. It’s always so easy to be motivated the day before you begin.

I think the hardest part for me is staying consistent. Not overwhelming myself by expecting perfection too soon. Getting needlessly frustrated by any deviation from the path; until I just say fuck it altogether. That’s my normal MO. I’m going to try to be kinder and more patient with myself this year; see if you can too.
